Trip prep (Oct 16, 2022)

Today is when I really focus on getting ready...pack, clean, check on paperwork, and worry.  To be totally honest most of it will be worry.  I know it's a waste of time and energy, but to paraphrase Descartes, I worry therefore I am.  The best way to fight that though is to be as prepared as you can so I'll be printing hotel reservations, our itinerary, flight info, etc.  How 20th Century.

Speaking of flights, we are flying TAP, the Portuguese national airline.  We booked the tickets back in March and got a pretty good deal.  I also added insurance which in the past I didn't buy, but you never know nowadays.

Below is a screenshot of our flight info.  Look how they are trying to get me to spend extra on lounge access, improved boarding, or a better meal.  They don't know me very well.

I'll leave you with an explanation of our airline's name, which works on a couple of levels for me--my bureaucratic love of acronyms and my interest in foreign languages.  TAP stands for Transportes Aéreos Portuguesas or in English, Portuguese Air Transportations.
